Descanso Beach in Avalon was home base for CCa on Friday, September 26th for the Third Annual trip to Catalina. The office closed for the day and employees boarded the Catalina Flyer early Friday morning for a day of eating, drinking and an intense game of Scattergories as well as some mini golf, football, snorkeling and swimming. As in the two previous years, the weather was perfect and it was an all around fun day.
Tuesday, July 22, 2014 - CCa attended the ground breaking ceremony for Sierra Pacific Center located in Fontana hosted by KPRS Construction, the general contractor, and Pacific Industrial, the developer. Sierra Pacific Center is a 740,000 square foot warehouse/logistics building that CCa has been working on for the last 18 months. Follow the project's progress here.
To kick off the Fourth of July holiday weekend, CCa held its First Annual Summer BBQ in the office parking lot. David Prickett and Tom Lennon were in charge of barbecuing and the traditional Fourth of July fare was served with the game of Corn Hole offering entertainment and some friendly competition. Everyone agreed it was a great way to start the long holiday weekend and so a new tradition has begun.
Carlile Coatsworth Architects is very proud to recognize two valuable employees who recently won first place in an AIA IDP design competition consisting of two phases. The "Flying Buttresses" team included our very own Shelley Thompson and Caleb Wong. Their entry was awarded 1st Place for the design of a "Library of the Future" and they also won 2nd Place for the Library's Program. Congratulations to Caleb and Shelley on this notable achievement!
